Kiev, Ukraine - Today, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin have agreed to finally end the conflict in Crimea and in the Donetsk and Dombass regions with the Treaty of Kiev.
Russia has agreed to allow Ukraine to keep control over Donetsk and Dombass in exchange for Ukraine to recognize Russia control over Crimea.
Many people are skeptical of this new peace, theorizing that Russia will continue to intervene within the eastern Ukrainian area. And with this, many Russophilia parties have began to campaign for the next Ukrainian election.
Ukraine has asked the United States to send in peace keeping forces to pacify the eastern region and help enforce the treaty.
More to come in the following hours.
